Civil Defense College

Civil Defense College  was established in 2006, which operates in accordance with the instructions and laws of the Higher Ministry of Education where the college is academically affiliated with AL-Balqa Applied University, and administratively to the General Directorate of Civil Defense, (public security directorate) noted that all members of the teaching and administrative staff hold high education degrees (PhD). (MA) and it’s accredited by accreditation and quality assurance commission for higher education institutions

Civil Defense College was established, in order to improve the services provided by civil defense including firefighting, rescue and first aid, through trained and qualified staff that are capable of dealing with accidents professionally. to protect the achievements of the homeland and residents from various forms of risk

Since its establishment, the college has sought after opening channels of communication and combined cooperation with educational institutions and various government sectors in the Kingdom; To ensure that its students can have the highest qualification traininganddegrees, in accordance with the accreditedstudy plansby Al-Balqa Applied University, and a specialized elite of civil defense staffon the theoretical and practical level, are working for this purpose, holding high education degrees (PhD). (MA)from international and local universities.

The college has achieved many accomplishments during its academic career, such as achieving high success rates compared to its counterparts in the intermediate university degree exam, and launching a number of community initiatives. So, it has become one of most notable academic institutions in the kingdom, and a name that has a high scientific standing among educational institutions in the country, seeking always to reflect a bright image of public security and its humanitarian arm represented by the Civil DefenseDirectorate. The College of Civil Defense has set its own goals and duties, which can be summarized as follows:

1- Provide  the Public Security/Civil Defense Directorate with scientifically and practically qualified staff in the pre- hospital care & firefighting and rescue techniques majors & Prevention, public safety & techniques for dealing with hazardous materials .

2- plant the values ​​of national loyaltyin the students’hearts.
3 - Upgrade firefighting and rescue services and
 the pre- hospital care services by focusing on the best regional and global practices.
4- Provide community services in both fieldsthe pre- hospital care(paramedic), 
and firefighting and rescue services for the local community.
