head of Fundamental Sciences Section

Major dr.mutasem Turky Al dalaen 

Fundamental science section is   one of the academic departments of Civil Defense College and affiliate  within the Academic Affairs department, it is the responsible department for the subjects that are presented and given during the semesters,

these courses areconsidered non -core educational activities in the (pre- hospital care(paramedic) and firefighting and rescue techniques). these courses are divided into two parts: the general skills and the supportive and operational skills.

Duties

1. Review and update the study plan’s major, accredited curricula and the indicative plan according to the variables. 

2. supervise of the teaching process course.

3. coordinate with the Admission and Registration Department about the dates of courses and exams in each semester.

4. distribute the study load among the teaching staff members.

5. Submit the recommendations of the department council to the head of the Academic Affairs department.

6. Encourage  the teaching staff members and students to pursue scientific research and serve the local community.

7. Recommend the department's needs of the teaching staff members, decide how they  are selected, and participating in their evaluation periodically.

8. Check the accredited marks by the teaching staff and approving them on the electronic marks entry system.

9. supervise  of the laboratory’s readiness, determine their needs of devices and equipment, and submitting the necessary recommendations to the Head of the Academic Affairs department.

10. Recommend  the teaching staff members' needs of courses and workshops necessary for their work.

11. supervise of students' preparations for the comprehensive exam.

12. Hold periodic meetings with students and listen to their suggestions regarding the educational process.

13. Any other duties assigned to this department so as that is consistent with to the organizational structure.
